Edited Images

To begin with i chose 6 images that had potential and begun to edit them. My first image is a Chicken however it has been a victim of over exposure so i decided to use the level tool to change the exposure.

The Image above the one to the image to the left is the before and this one is after. the reason why i choice this shot of the chicken is because it has a clear enough outline for the body so when it comes to creating the final three images it just makes it easier for me.

My next image is that of the Ducks However the duck I'm wanting to use is in the middle of two white Ducks so i had to change the photo filter to an orange to make the middle Duck to stand out more.

I used the same kind of technique of correcting the over exposure like with the chicken however insted of using levels i used curves because is has a more of 'hands on' approach. I did this to all of the other pictures i had picked out, since they don't need a drastic change.

Risk evaluation

The risks of going to the Stone Bridge farm are:

•Road Accident

•Hit and Run

•Theif

• Potential for disease

•getting cut from metal

•broken camera

I'm going to reduce these risks by:

Walking across designated areas as well as focusing on the traffic lights as well as the road
Using the the hand sanitizer placed around the farm, look both ways on the streets, keeping the camera stored until we get to the farm and finally not climbing or running around any pieces of sharp metal

Stone Bridge Farm photography propsal

Proposal

Next week we are going to a farm to take around 40 test shots so that we can adjust the camera as we go along to the next animal. Then we will make 4 contact sheets. These contact sheets consisted of 10 images. Then we will pick 6 of these images to edit it into 3 different images.I will do this by going around the farm and taking pictures of the different animals ill be mainly using the shutter speed and aperture. The reason behind this is, animal in comparison to humans the photographer can't control their actions when they are within enclosures so a professional photographer would have his/hers camera on the setting to represent this. For example a pro would use a high ISO and a large aperture for a high detailed image of a bird and have it contrast to the blurry background. While having a high shutter speed will allow for a non-blurred image of a animal in motion. So with this knowledge ill be taking at least 30 test shot of the different animals on the farm. I won't be using any flash since if an animal were to come close towards the fence it might become violent, also since we are going in the morning we will have enough natural natural lights. Hopefully that the animals i am wishing to take images of will stand in front of wall or at an angle were the background is just grass so i can have an easier job of cutting the animal out in Photoshop.

Then i'll use 6 of the best image available on the contact sheet to be able to create all 3 of my creatures. To do this i will be mainly focusing on birds for the head and wings and the mammals for the bodies and the legs, since it will provide interesting combinations.

However i will need to take the environmental hazard to the camera since it could have the potential to rain so i'll be wear a water proof coat that can be used to shelter the camera. Another problem would be the mud on the ground, I believe this can be considered as a serious problem since there hasn't been any sun for a while so the ground would be ether damp or muddy. This could lead to myself losing balance and falling over as well as dropping the camera and having it brake, so to improve the chance on this not happening would be wear appropriate footwear.
